When courses in northern Europe are frozen, waterlogged or closed, Belek keeps playing. The cluster of championship courses 45 km east of Antalya Airport stays open through the winter, and the months from November to March have become a season of their own for golfers who do not want to stop between October and April.

What the weather is like on the course

MonthTypical dayOn the course
Novemberabout 21 °CExcellent conditions, still autumn peak season
December - Januaryabout 15-16 °CMild and often sunny, with some rain days
Februaryabout 16 °CDays getting longer, fewer rain days
Marchabout 19 °CThe start of the spring peak season

Most winter days are playable in a light jumper. Rain tends to come in short spells rather than for whole weeks, and the courses are built to drain quickly. Mornings can be cool and the light fades by late afternoon, so tee times are usually earlier than in summer.

Why winter pays off

Courses and hotels in winter

Not every course and hotel in Belek operates on the same schedule in winter, and maintenance work such as hollow-tining or overseeding is sometimes planned for the quiet months. When you book, ask which courses are open during your dates and whether any maintenance is scheduled. Golf hotels usually arrange tee times and shuttles to their partner courses.

What to pack for winter golf

Getting to Belek with golf bags

From Antalya Airport to Belek takes 35 to 40 minutes by road, and in winter the terminal is quiet, so an arrival-day afternoon round is often realistic. The price is fixed per vehicle, not per bag: as a rule, a Mercedes Vito takes four players with four golf bags and their luggage, and larger groups travel in a Sprinter. Tell us the number of bags when you book.
