Few holiday regions let you ski and walk by the sea on the same day. Antalya does: Saklıkent ski centre lies in the Bakırlı mountains, about 50 km from the city, and on a good winter day you can be on the slopes in the morning and back on the seafront for sunset.

Where Saklıkent is

The ski centre sits at around 1,900 metres on the slopes of the Bakırlı mountains, west of Antalya. The drive from the city takes roughly an hour and a half, climbing from orange groves to pine forest and then snow. On clear days the view from the top reaches down to the coast and the sea.

When the season runs

The ski season depends entirely on snowfall and usually runs from January to March. In some winters it starts earlier or ends sooner, so check current snow and lift conditions before you plan a day around it.

Getting there: the mountain road in winter

There is no regular public transport to the ski centre, and the last part of the mountain road can have snow and ice. Winter tyres or chains may be required. A private transfer takes you from your hotel in Antalya, Kemer, Belek or Side to the slopes and back, with the time on the mountain decided by you. This is not one of our standard routes, so send us your hotel, date and group size and we will quote a fixed price per vehicle.

Other ski options from Antalya

For a longer ski trip, Davraz near Isparta is a larger ski centre with more runs, roughly two and a half to three hours from Antalya by road. Saklıkent remains the easiest choice for a single day of snow during a stay on the coast.
