Alanya is 125 km east of Antalya Airport, which makes it the longest routinely booked transfer on the Turkish Riviera. That distance is the single fact that shapes every other decision about the journey.
Distance and driving time
| Destination | Distance from AYT | Typical drive |
|---|---|---|
| Antalya city | 15 km | 20-30 minutes |
| Side | 65 km | 55-65 minutes |
| Manavgat | 75 km | 60-70 minutes |
| Kızılağaç | 85 km | 70-80 minutes |
| Alanya | 125 km | 110-130 minutes |
The route follows the D400 coast road east through Serik, Manavgat and Kızılağaç. It is a good road, but it runs through towns rather than around them, so summer afternoons and Saturday charter peaks add time that no schedule can remove.
Alanya is not one place
Hotels sold as "Alanya" spread over roughly 65 km of coast. Avsallar, Türkler and Okurcalar sit west of the centre and are noticeably closer to the airport; Mahmutlar, Kestel, Kargıcak and Demirtaş lie east of it and add 20 to 45 minutes. When you book, give the hotel name rather than just the resort - it is what determines both the driving time and the correct fixed price.
Why a shared shuttle hurts most on this route
On a 125 km run, every extra hotel stop is a real detour. A shuttle that drops eight parties along the coast can turn a two hour drive into four, and the last family off is usually the one staying furthest east. A private vehicle drives the route once, in your order, and the fixed price does not move if the traffic does.
Planning a night arrival
Many Alanya flights land after 23:00. Two things matter then: that someone is definitely waiting, and that the price was agreed before you flew. We track the flight, so a delayed landing moves the pickup rather than cancelling it, and the first 90 minutes of waiting are included. Payment is in cash to the driver at the start of the journey, so nothing has to be arranged in the middle of the night.
